Large Single Opportunity for DHS on July 31st 2017

Homeland Security has an opportunity called “Data Center Support Services” (the DCSS for short) which has a multitude of first-generation awardees currently in place for the DHS. The scope of this opportunity is to provide comprehensive information for the DCSS to the Customs and Border Patrol (or CBP) Office of Information Technology (OIT) in addition to Enterprise Operations, Enterprise Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, and Common Services. The planned support will cover the following offices: CBP Headquarter Offices in Washington, DC, CBP Data Centers, and in any location where CBP operates in the future. This opportunity is slated to be awarded to one single awardee, unlike the past awards involving five different awardees. IBM has over $46 million to date in obligated dollars on the 1st generation IDIQ.

Below is the list of all of the current incumbents for the DCSS as well as their contract identification numbers.

Homeland Security has totaled over $82 million on this program since mid-June, with the task orders going through the Schedule 70 program. The new opportunity will be a 10-year contract but the draft notice supporting documents detailed a 38-month base period with seven option years. The government may exercise an additional 6-month transition period as well.
