A draft solicitation from the Air Force was released 9-17-18 for an upcoming IT support contract. It will include services concerning information systems in the Air Force’s National Capital Region (AFNCR) to reach mission objectives and further contain/reduce costs. Program management, engineering, cybersecurity, Enterprise IT operations and National Military Command Center support are the main responsibilities included in the RFP.
The winner of this contract would provide the qualified managerial, administrative, technical, quality personnel, and financial resources necessary to meet the contract requirements. In addition, the company would analyze requirements and develop, engineer, configure, and implement recommended solutions and related services for the 844th Communications Group, and provide the services required to procure, store, operate, monitor, maintain, and modernize all IT and telecommunications devices, products, and services. Further, dedicated IT support and services to NMCC, Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), and other tenant agencies/organizations would be included.
The Air Force is currently accepting feedback as it firms up this RFP. The expected release date is not currently available, but we’d expect it to be within the next several months based on previously observed timelines.
