SEWP VI IT Support GWAC Draft Solicitation Released by NASA
9-19-2023
NASA is currently inviting input regarding a preliminary request for proposals (RFP) for the sixth iteration of the Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP VI) contract. This contract is designed to facilitate the acquisition of information technology products and services. NASA is actively seeking feedback from potential vendors on various aspects of the draft RFP, including its requirements, evaluation methods, schedules, security measures, export control considerations, safety protocols, occupational health standards, and other factors related to the successful execution of the contract.
SEWP VI is set to be a comprehensive governmentwide procurement agreement. It will operate as a fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract with a 10-year ordering period, spanning three distinct categories. These categories aim to simplify governmental access to a broad spectrum of information and communications technology as well as audio-visual products and services. Most of the requirements fall under NAICS 541512 and primarily involve servers and the tools and systems that connect them, however requirements from other NAICS will also be present.
The first category encompasses a wide array of IT products, encompassing both hardware and software, including cloud-based platforms. This category also covers installation, maintenance, testing, and integration support. The second category is dedicated to agency-wide strategic platforms that enhance an agency’s IT infrastructure. This is using shared resources, managed services, and cloud services. The third category of IT services covers a wide range of technological solutions. These include data processing and analysis, hosting, telecommunication services, management of information and communication technology (ICT) and audio-visual (AV) resources, IT and network operations management, oversight of computer facilities, customized computer programming, IT consulting and educational support, security systems, digital government services, and cybersecurity.
Awardees will need to maintain a public website for publishing a full complement of contract related resources to the SEWP Program Management office (PMO), SEWP POCs, and SEWP customers. In addition, the awardees will be responsible for managing communication, electronic reporting, order processing, issue resolution, customer support, contract modifications, process enhancements, technical support, etc.
To facilitate engagement and provide more information, NASA will host an industry day on October 18th in College Park, Maryland. Interested parties are encouraged to submit comments on the draft RFP by the deadline of October 2nd.
NASA plans to finalize the RFP by February 2024 and subsequently award the Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract by October 2024. It is anticipated that SEWP VI will become effective in May 2025. To learn more about SEWP VI and previous iterations, get started with a 5-day trial of EZGovOpps for full access.
