OASIS+ 8(a) Small Business Contract Awardees Notified
10/25/2024
The General Services Administration (GSA) recently announced its initial selection of small business awardees for the OASIS+ professional services contract, revealing 182 potential winners for the 8(a) small
business category. This represents just the first phase of rolling awards, with more selections expected. GSA emphasized that companies not yet notified are still under evaluation as part of the ongoing award process. The selected companies’ status as winners reflects that they may still face size status challenges regarding their small business classification.
If confirmed, these awardees could receive formal contract notifications and proceed with work as soon as November 8. The selections span OASIS+’s seven domains, with companies eligible to compete across multiple areas. This announcement follows the September 30th formal notices sent to 767 winners across other small business categories, including woman-owned, HUBZone, and service-disabled/veteran-owned businesses. Companies not included in that group remain under consideration.
The unrestricted portion of OASIS+ is expected to be awarded by late October. Meanwhile, the general small business pool faces several protests, with the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) decisions anticipated between mid-November and early December. The contract has no spending limit and could run for up to 10 years – a five-year base period plus a possible five-year extension. The contract supports agencies in acquiring non-technology professional services. Unlike its predecessor, OASIS+ separates small business awards into distinct socioeconomic categories rather than maintaining a single small business pool.
The current OASIS unrestricted contract is set to end March 1, 2025. Contract obligations have reached almost $46 billion on the unrestricted vehicle, while the small business pool has generated approximately $33 billion in spending.
